FLASH ARRIVÉE Tom Laperche et Franck Cammas (SVR-Lazartigue) remportent la TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie 2025 en catégorie ULTIM* ENGLISH VERSION BELOW
| Ce mercredi 5 novembre à 22 h 13 min 58 secondes heure locale (3 h 13 min 58 secondes à Paris), Tom Laperche et Franck Cammas ont franchi les premiers la ligne d’arrivée des ULTIM en baie de Fort-de-France pour la 17ème édition de la TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie. Le temps de course de SVR-Lazartigue est de 10 jours, 13 heures, 3 minutes et 58 secondes. Il a effectué les 5400 milles du parcours entre Le Havre et Fort-de-France à la vitesse de 21,34 nœuds sur l’orthodromie (route directe). Il a en réalité parcouru 6 490,10 milles à la vitesse moyenne de 25,65 nœuds (sur l’eau). Dès les premières heures de course, le duo était aux avant-postes. Le duel avec les tenants du titre (Armel Le Cléac’h et Sébastien Josse) s’est achevé dès la première nuit à cause de l’avarie de safran du Maxi Banque Populaire XI. Si Sodebo Ultim 3 et Actual Ultim 4 ont tenu dans le golfe de Gascogne, Tom et Franck ont ensuite creusé patiemment l’écart. Premiers à être entrés dans le Pot-au-noir et premiers retardés, ils ont aussi été les premiers à en sortir avec une avance suffisamment conséquente pour aborder la fin du parcours avec sérénité. Tom Laperche offre à l’ULTIM SVR-Lazartigue le succès le plus prestigieux depuis sa mise à l’eau en 2021. Franck Cammas, lui, entre dans l’histoire de la course : après ses succès en 2001, 2003, 2007 et 2021, il devient le premier marin à avoir remporté la TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie à cinq reprises. | Tom Laperche and Franck Cammas (SVR-Lazartigue) win the ULTIM division of the TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie 2025 This wednesday, November 5 at 22 h 13 min 58 sec local time (3 h 13 min 58 in Paris), Tom Laperche and Franck Cammas were the first to cross the ULTIM finish line in Fort-de-France Bay for the 17th edition of the TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie. Appearing out of a moody Caribbean night to break the Fort-de-France finish line first at 22 h 13 min 58 sec local time (UTC minus 4 hours) 28 -year-old Laperche and 52-year-old co-skipper Cammas win the ULTIM division of the famous biennial double handed race from Le Havre to Martinique. Their elapsed time for the 6670 nautical miles course from the French channel port to Martinique, via a turning mark at the Saint Peter and Sain Paul islets in the South Atlantic, is 10days, 13 hours, 3 minutes, and 58 seconds. Laperche and Cammas have led the race since Armel Le Cléac’h and Seb Josse on Banque Populaire XI, 2023’s race winners had to pitstop into Lorient to make a rudder repair early on the first morning of the race. After finishing twice in succession, in 2021 and 2023, this is Laperche’s first big Tranatlantic race win with the giant blue trimaran. Cammas, who first tasted victory on this classic race in 2001, sets a new record as the only sailor to have now won five times. They actually covered 6490,10 miles at an average speed of 25,65 knots (over the water).
